FINANCIALS SUPPORT
In order to participate in SBS, districts must be enrolled as a Medicaid provider, and meet all requirements for participation including provider re-validation every three years. Kompas Care also facilitates the proper documentation of billable services including parental consent, monitoring of random moment time study compliance, quarterly filing of staff salaries and costs, and annual cost report submission to reconcile the cost of providing services against actual money received.
DATA RETENTION
Kompas Care compiles a comprehensive annual data retention file. Your data retention includes the IEP and one-way trip ratios and cost reporting back up documentation.

FISCAL REVIEWS & SUMMARIES
Kompas Care provides a comprehensive fiscal report detailing units and dollars reimbursed by service. The report is updated annually to give districts a year-to-year comparison of their SBS reimbursement. Kompas Care preforms an annual financial review, giving districts information needed to manage billing while ensuring reimbursement does not exceed allowable costs.
The fiscal summary and financial review are key tools for budget projections.
COMPREHENSIVE STAFF TRAINING
Kompas Care understands the importance of staff development. Ongoing support includes onsite training, virtual training and meetings, self-guided PowerPoints, handouts and guides. Our representatives are available by phone and email throughout the school year and are proactively in contact with your billing staff.
